Dr. Sandeep Bagla graduated with Honors from St. Georges University School of Medicine in 2002 before completing a residency at Albany Medical Center in NY in Diagnostic Radiology, including being selected as Chief Resident. Dr. Bagla completed subspecialty training in Vascular & Interventional Radiology at George Washington University in 2008 and completed his Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Vascular & Interventional Radiology. He has been selected as a Top Doctor in multiple publications, including Washingtonian Magazine.
Dr. Bagla continues his robust clinical research career, from his experience in the Department of Neuroradiology at John Hopkins to his current experience in Cardiovascular & Interventional Radiology. He has personally pioneered research on topics from minimally invasive cancer therapy to the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), receiving multiple grant awards as well. Dr. Bagla has served as the Principal Investigator of multiple clinical trials, focusing on: Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), Metastatic Cancer and Tumor Ablation, Spine Metastasis and Pain. He also investigated novel treatments for Pulmonary Embolism, Uterine Fibroids, and novel drugs for anticoagulation.
He has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and currently reviews manuscripts for publication in two major medical journals: Journal of Vascular & Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular & Interventional Radiology. He has co-authored book chapters on Prostate Artery Embolization and has delivered numerous invited lectures at national and international meetings on topics including: Prostate Disease, Cancer, Pulmonary Embolism, Regulatory Affairs, Robotics, and Womens Health. Dr. Bagla currently sits on the physician advisory board of multiple worldwide medical device companies providing his advice for the future of cancer and robotic therapy.
Adnan Karim completed his degrees from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a major in Economics and minor in Marketing. He then joined Interspeed Advertising Ltd in 1995 as a trainee executive in the client servicing and account management department. He has spent the last 24 years working in the advertising and marketing communications industry and is currently the Director of International Business Development of Interspeed. Prior to this post in 2000 he was seconded to the Ogilvy & Mather Advertising office in Delhi, India for a year. His experience includes brand management for clients such as Unilever, SmithKline Beecham, Standard Chartered, BATB, Orascom, Citycell, Coca-Cola to name a few. He is also an investor in various startup around the globe and Jigglemed is one that was founded by him and his partner.

Dr. Isaacson completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency and Vascular & Interventional Radiology fellowship at the University of North Carolina after 3 years of service as a flight surgeon in the US Navy. In 2013, he stayed in Chapel Hill and joined the faculty where he is now an Associate Professor and the Director of Clinical Research. Dr. Isaacson’s clinical interests include arterial embolization, interventional oncology and vascular imaging. His current research focuses include prostatic artery embolization, geniculate artery embolization and balloon-occlusion embolization. He is Co-Director of the semiannual STREAM PAE course and enjoys speaking around the country about PAE.

Dr. Rachel Piechowiak is a Board-Certified Vascular & Interventional Radiologist at the Vascular Institute of Virginia. She completed her fellowship at New York’s Mount Sinai Medical Center in 2012 and Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey, where she was chosen as Chief Resident. She graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006 and also holds a Master’s Degree in Science.
She is involved in clinical research with topics ranging from Embolization to Cancer. Dr. Piechowiak is leading an International Clinical Study to evaluate the effects of embolization on treatment of knee pain. She is also an investigator on a Cancer study to treat patients who have advanced cancer and back pain with a minimally invasive procedure. She has multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals including two Vascular Interventional journals: Journal of Vascular & Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular & Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Piechowiak has broad clinical expertise, with a focus on the treatment of Womens’ Health Conditions including Uterine Fibroids, Pelvic Congestion and Venous Disease. She also has expertise in the treatment of Peripheral Arterial Disease and Dialysis Access Maintenance.
Abin Sajan earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the Macaulay Honors College at the City College of New York. He is currently a fourth-year medical student at SUNY Downstate with plans to specialize in Interventional Radiology. He was recently awarded the Dr. and Mrs. W.C. Culp Student Research Grant from the SIR Research Foundation and hopes to continue contributing to the field. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, running, and a good game of squash.
